The page system does not "wrap around". The end pages are the CONFIGURATION page and the
NEAREST page.
Beginning with the CONFIGURATION page
This page appears everytime the B2000 is powered up, with the
cursor on the screen contrast value. Pressing the +/- button
allows you to change the screen contrast immediately. The
screen drive is temperature compensated so this value should
not need adjusting in flight. Magnetic variation, finish line and
turnpoint arrival altitude can also be set on this page and the
polar values, units, start, turnpoint and finish types and radius
and GPS and B50 status can be read by moving the cursor to
the top of the page and changing CONFIGURATION 0 to
CONFIGURATION 1 which then accesses the DIAGNOSTICS
pages. Pressing the PAGE button returns to the normal screens.
The page selection in diagnostics mode is a little slow so be
patient but this mode is not used in flight. The Macready, Bugs
and Ballast settings are shown at the bottom of this page. The
lower right corner shows either "B50" or "loc" which indicates
the source of this data, either the B50 or by changing "B50" to
"loc" these values may be changed at will by the pilot
independent of the B50 data. This is useful for doing "what if"
calculations in the back seat of two seaters. There is also the
drift/zig-zag wind calculation selection.
